The HAC, or Haut à Courroies, is the Birkins older, taller sibling, originally designed to carry riding boots before it became a bag in its own right, and this version leans into that heritage with a wool felt body instead of the usual leather. Grey felt takes up most of the bag, textured and soft in a way that reads more workwear than showroom, while navy Togo leather at the top handles, straps, and base grounds it in something more structured. Palladium hardware stays quiet against both materials. At 40, this is a genuinely large bag, built to actually hold things rather than perch decoratively on an arm. Made in France in 2017, and comes complete with its original box and dust bag. A Birkin for people who know the HAC exists, which is its own kind of exclusivity.
